The Swedish author K. (Karl) Arne Blom was born in Nässjö where he passed his baccalaureate in 1967. Later the same year, he moved to Lund where he attended university, and was living there ever since. Blom graduated with a BA in 1972. Emma Lathen is the pseudonym that two American friends, the economist Mary Jane Latsis (1927–1997) and the financial lawyer Martha Henisssart (1929–), used when they published their co-authored crime fiction. Latsis and Henissart also published a number of crime novels as R.B. Dominic.
