T. Jefferson "Jeff" Parker is an American author of police procedural novels. He grew up in Orange County, mainly in the city of Tustin where the family moved in 1959. The "T" does not stand for anything; his mother just thought it would "look good on the presidential letterhead". Philip Kerr was a Scottish author born in Edinburgh. His family were Baptists. Kerr read law and philosophy at the University of Birmingham with a special interest in German philosophy.
