Vidar Sundstøl is a Norwegian author of crime fiction. He was born and raised at Vøllestad in the municipality of Drangedal, Telemark province. He attended Bostrak skole, Drangedal Ungdomsskole and Bø videregående skole, and he graduated from a two-term creative writing course at Høgskolen, Telemark, in 1987.
